Hi, I'm Armin, the artist behind enamor. enamor started in Hove in 2016 with three ink paintings: a woman in a feathered hat, a chihuahua wrapped in a snake, and a pair of legs in high heels. I loved them, but they were sitting in a folder. I wanted people to be able to wear them, live with them and carry them around, not just look at them on a screen. Ten years later, that's still the whole idea behind this shop. ART FIRST, CLOTHING SECOND Every design you see here is my own original painting or ink drawing. Nothing is sourced, licensed, bought from a design library or generated. I sketch it, paint or ink it, finish it, and prepare every print file myself. The clothing is simply a way to carry the art. When you buy from enamor, you're buying a piece of original artwork that happens to be on cotton or paper instead of a canvas. My work moves between two moods: fine, hand-drawn ink line work with a sense of humour, and bold, flat-colour portraits with a bit of an edge. My Persian heritage and life by the sea in Brighton & Hove find their way into a lot of it. THE COLLECTIONS Ink On Red Ten hand-drawn ink characters in black and white with a single red. Lucky cats, an astronaut crew, a noodle ritual, a gym warm-up and the last sweet on the tray. Each one is a small story you can wear. Charming But Deadly Sixteen bold portraits, sweet on the surface and sharp underneath. Lightning cuts through flat colour, there are skulls in a pair of sunglasses, a dancer turns mid-spin, and someone has written "we're doomed" across their knuckles. These were made to be seen big, so they work especially well as framed prints. New collections are added through the year, so add the shop to your favourites to see them first. WHAT YOU CAN BUY Clothing: tees, longline and oversized tees, long-sleeve tees and sweatshirts, printed on certified organic cotton, with sizes listed on each item. Fine art prints: giclée prints on 210gsm natural white matte paper, printed with water-based inks on recyclable paper. Available unframed, or in a timber frame from an FSC-certified supplier, ready to hang. Many designs come as both, so you can wear one and frame the other. They make a great pair, and a thoughtful gift. HOW IT'S MADE I work with a UK print partner who makes every piece to order in a factory powered by renewable energy. Nothing is printed until you order it, which means no overstock, no piles of unsold stock and no waste sitting in a warehouse. Once you order, your piece is printed, checked and posted straight to you from the UK. The cotton is certified organic and GM-free, and the clothing is designed to be remade: when it's worn out, you can send it back to be turned into new clothing instead of throwing it away. Look for the QR code in the garment for details. CARING FOR YOUR PIECE Clothing: wash cool and hang to dry. It keeps the print crisp and the cotton soft for years. Prints: keep out of direct sunlight and away from damp to protect the colours. GIFTS Because every design is an original artwork, an enamor piece makes a gift that won't be in anyone else's wardrobe. WHY IT MATTERS TO ME I'd rather make fewer things that people keep for years than lots of things that get thrown away.
